Internship Opportunities

An internship is one of the best ways to launch your career in electrical and computer engineering. Internships give you the chance to apply what you’ve learned in class, explore career paths, and build a professional network, all while gaining experience that employers value. Many internships even lead directly to full-time job offers after graduation.

Some students begin interning as early as the summer after their second year, but most take on internships after their third year, when they’ve built a strong foundation of coursework and lab experience.

When to Apply
Top companies often begin recruiting in September for internships the following summer. To get ahead, start polishing your resume in the spring or summer and be ready to apply when opportunities open.

Take advantage of every resource available: meet with your faculty advisor, attend Career Services workshops, and tap into the connections you’ll make through student clubs and departmental events. With the right preparation, your internship can be the first step toward an exciting career.
