Declare as an EECE Pre-Major

Ready to start your journey in Electrical and Computer Engineering? Declaring as a pre-major is your first official step, and it's quick and easy. 

Is This a Commitment?
Not at all! Think of it as opening a door, not locking one. Declaring as a pre-major carries no risk and does not commit you to the major. It is simply a way to explore the field, and you can easily change your academic plan later if your interests lead you elsewhere.

We recommend new and transfer students declare as early as possible to take full advantage of the benefits.

How to Declare

To make it official, simply send an email to EECE@wwu.edu from your WWU email account.

• Include your W# in the email.
• State that you would like to become an Electrical and Computer Engineering Pre-Major.

That's it! Once you've declared, we'll send you a confirmation email, and you'll gain access to key benefits.
